TAKE GOOD CARE OF YOUR NEW TATTOO!

TATTOO AFTERCARE

By taking good care of your new tattoo, you have control over how beautiful it will stay!
Proper care during the healing process will ensure the best results.

RISKS

Tattooing involves risks. Therefore, make sure you are well rested and have eaten enough. Inform the tattoo artist of any medication use or skin problems, allergies, epilepsy and hypersensitivity reactions. And check at www.veiligtatoeerenenpiercen.nl that the studio where you want to get a tattoo is licensed. This licence indicates that the studio works according to the hygiene guidelines of the National Centre for Hygiene and Safety.

Don't get a tattoo:

in places where you have had plastic surgery or radiotherapy in the past year
on a scar that is less than a year old
in a spot tattooed less than six weeks ago
in an area where a tattoo was lasered away less than three months ago or where the laser wound has not yet healed
on irritated skin such as bumps, dark moles or swelling
if you are under the influence of alcohol or drugs
If you are pregnant.

Affliction?

We advise against getting a tattoo if you suffer from any of the following conditions:

Do you have any of these conditions or take anticoagulants or antibiotics? And do you still want a tattoo? If so, always discuss your options with a doctor first.

AFTERCARE INSTRUCTION

During tattooing, the skin breaks down, creating a wound. If you take good care of the tattoo, it will take around two weeks for it to heal. The tattoo will be covered with cling film, which you may remove after three hours. You may shower with a tattoo.

Treat the uncovered tattoo wound as follows (twice a day, morning and evening):

Make sure during the healing process:

touch the tattoo wound as little as possible (wash your hands before caring for the wound)
does not scratch the tattoo wound
do not cover the tattoo wound with tight or soiled clothing
do not cover the tattoo wound with plasters or bandages
avoid (bubble) baths, swimming pools, saunas and steam baths
do not expose the tattoo wound to sunlight or the sunbed.

Tattooed skin remains very sensitive to sunlight even after healing. Always apply sunscreen to your tattoo after it has healed. Note: contact your GP in case of extreme redness, swelling, bleeding, wound fluid, colour change or chronic pain.

HOME RULES

Do not bring persons aged 13 or under. A tattoo shop is a working environment, and thus not a place for children.
Clients under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs are rejected
Pets are not allowed
Smoking is not allowed in the studio
We ask all our clients to come to the appointment alone.
Every client must complete a consent form. We will also make a copy of your valid ID, if necessary, regarding GGD regulations.
For persons aged 17 or younger, we only set tattoos with parental consent. When in doubt about age, we ask for identification.
We do not tattoo people under the age of 15.
To confirm the appointment, we always ask for a non-refundable deposit. No deposit means no appointment. Down payments are never refundable. Down payments are deducted from the total amount on the day of the appointment.
For larger tattoos, you may be asked to come to the studio to discuss the design. For smaller tattoos, discussions are not necessary as these can be designed together with the customer on the day itself.
The artist will show the official design on the day of the appointment. Should any changes need to be made to the design, we will do this together with the customer.
Keep in mind that a tattoo shop is a working environment. This means artists need to be able to concentrate. If you want to listen to music or watch videos on your phone, preferably bring earplugs. That way, you won't be bored, and we can work quietly.
You can pay cash with us, or transfer the amount on the spot . Make sure you have all the necessary means with you to do this on the spot (e.g. online banking/raboscanner).

Hoe duur is een tattoo/sleeve?

Every tattoo is different, which is why we do not give standard prices. Because we do custom tattoos, it is impossible to determine in advance exactly how expensive your tattoo will be. Of course, we can give you a price indication based on your wishes. Fill in the Book an appointment form to receive a price indication!

Zetten jullie ook vinger tattoos?

No. We don't do finger tattoos. You need your hands and fingers for almost everything and, if all goes well, you also wash them several times a day! This makes it difficult for a tattoo on the finger to heal fully. This has its consequences for the result. We prefer to give you a beautiful tattoo in another place, where it will stay beautiful longer!

Waarom maak ik een aanbetaling?

We always ask customers to pay a deposit. This ensures for both, artist and customer, that the place is reserved. Down payments are deducted from the total amount on the day of the appointment. Down payments are non-refundable, or 'non-refundable'. The amount of the deposit may vary depending on how many hours are booked for your tattoo. Before you transfer the deposit, you will receive a document from us detailing the terms of the deposit. By paying the deposit, you agree to the terms and conditions.

Hoe moet ik mijn tatoeage verzorgen?

We follow the official tattoo guidelines of the GGD. After getting your tattoo, you will be given instructions on how to take care of it and you will be given a list with all the points clearly stated. You can also read all the care information again at the top of this page.

Werken jullie op afspraak?

Knappen jullie ook oude tattoos op, of kan ik mijn tatoeage bij jullie laten coveren?

That depends a bit on what state the current tattoo is in. Send a Book an appointment form with a photo of your current tattoo, and what you would like to cover it with. Based on the current tattoo and your wishes, we can advise what would be best. If we think that a coverup will not deliver a nice result, we will be honest about this too.

Zetten jullie ook piercings?

No.

Ik heb geen oppas kunnen regelen voor mijn kinderen, mag ik ze meenemen?

No, sorry, with us there is no admission for children under 13.
